Spiral Knights: New Shadow Lair Zone and Fall Festival!

The brave soldiers in the free-to-play MMORPG, Spiral Knights, now have new challenges ahead of them as Sony Online Enterainment, publishers of the online game, have rolled out a new area named simply, "The Shadow Lairs".

As adventurers make their way into the inner-depths of the Clockworks, a new area will be available on floor 23, known as Shadow Lairs. These mysterious elevators lead to some of the most powerful and terrifying creatures in the entire Clockworks.

This new area in Spiral Knights is designed for higher-end players, specifically those in tier 3 gear. There are different goals for you to accomplish in the various Shadow Lairs such s beating back the rabid Snarbolax and you must unfreeze the Royal Jelly Palace, frozen solid by the terrible Ice Queen.

Of course, this new zone and its smaller areas give you the chance to earn some great new gear in Spiral Knights. The rewards include special artifacts with unique properties, increased crown and heat payouts, and all boss monster drop double boss tokens. This doesn’t include all of the awesome armor sets available either!

To celebrate the coming of fall, the Dark Harvest Festival is already underway and will go until November 1st in the world Spiral Knights. This event honors the great Punkin King and helps to ensure a most bountiful harvest. You will find special rooms throughout tunnel-like instances, such as Power Complexes and Blast Chambers, in which you will be able to party like a champion with the Punkin King himself!
